Space is fundamental to how we live. Even when homes aren’t larger they can be designed os they play tricks with the eye.  The eye can travel past a wall of brick to well-placed windows that frame the view; skylights or windows up high can let light flood in and form pattens on sun-kissed polished concrete floors below; vertical features inside and out can reach for the sky. Long views to the mountains or tress in the distance can take the mind on a journey, and the use of contrasting materials and shapes can both stimulate and relax.
